Terms of Service
Last updated: 18/07/2026
1. Who this applies to
These Terms govern use of the Pixlo platform ("Pixlo," "we," "us") by (a) café/restaurant businesses that register as a Business ("Business," "you," "café") and (b) customers of those businesses who use the Pixlo guest experience ("Guest," "you," "player"). By using Pixlo, you agree to these Terms.
2. What Pixlo is
Pixlo is a wait-time engagement platform. Guests scan a QR code at a participating café/restaurant location, play short browser-based games, earn Pixlo Points, and may redeem Points for rewards offered by that specific Business, subject to availability and the limits described below.
3. Eligibility
- Businesses registering for Pixlo must be a legally operating café, restaurant, or similar establishment in India, represented by an authorized individual.
- Pixlo's guest experience is intended for users aged 18 and above. Because Pixlo is deployed in public cafés without a hard age gate, age-appropriate safeguards remain under review with legal counsel.
4. Business accounts
- Business accounts are subject to review and approval before a location becomes live and scannable by guests; Pixlo may approve, reject, or suspend a Business account at its discretion.
- Businesses are responsible for the accuracy of information they provide and for honoring rewards presented as valid redemption codes by Pixlo's system.
- Service access is tied to an active subscription/payment status as communicated separately; Pixlo may restrict a Business's locations from operating if payment status lapses, with notice provided through the dashboard.
5. Points and Rewards
- Pixlo Points have no cash value, are not transferable between guests, cannot be purchased, sold, or exchanged for cash, and are redeemable solely for rewards offered by the specific Business where they were earned, subject to that Business's active reward catalog, budget limits, and redemption caps at the time of redemption.
- Points may expire after a period of inactivity (currently 90 days) as described in the Privacy Policy / in-app notices; Pixlo will make reasonable efforts to notify Guests before expiry occurs.
- Rewards are offered and fulfilled by the Business, not by Pixlo directly; disputes about reward fulfillment should first be raised with that Business's staff.
- Pixlo and participating Businesses reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue specific rewards, point-earning rates, or the platform generally, with reasonable notice where practical.
6. Acceptable use
Guests agree not to: manipulate game scores through automated tools, scripts, or exploits; misrepresent their location to bypass location-based verification; create multiple accounts to circumvent points/reward limits; or otherwise attempt to defraud the points/rewards system. Violation may result in forfeiture of points, redemption codes, or platform access.
7. Data and privacy
Use of Pixlo is also governed by the Privacy Policy below.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Pixlo is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the platform, including reward unavailability, service interruptions, or disputes between a Guest and a Business.
9. Changes to these Terms
Pixlo may update these Terms from time to time; continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
10. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. The courts of Gujarat shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising under them.

Privacy Policy
Last updated: 18/07/2026
1. Who we are
Pixlo is operated by Krushil Patel, registered at Gandhinagar ("Pixlo," "we," "us"). This policy explains what personal data we collect from Guests and Businesses, why, and what rights you have over it.
2. What we collect
From Guests: name (at first play, required); email address (at first play, required, verified via a one-time code); gameplay data (scores, points, games played, timestamps); a device-level identifier to recognize repeat visits; approximate location at the moment of scanning a QR code (only to confirm proximity — see Section 4); and redemption history. Phone numbers are optional — a Guest may link one to save points or refer a friend, but it is never required to play or earn.
From Businesses: business name, contact email, and account details; staff account names, emails, and roles; and payment/billing status as applicable.
3. How we use this data
- To recognize you across visits and correctly attribute points/rewards to you rather than another guest.
- To verify you are physically near a participating location before starting a session (fraud/abuse prevention).
- To calculate points, enforce reward eligibility and budget limits, and generate redemption codes.
- To provide Businesses with aggregated and per-customer engagement analytics for their own location(s) only — a Business never has access to a Guest's activity at a different, unrelated Business.
- To detect and prevent fraud or abuse of the points/rewards system.
- To send you the one-time verification code by email, and any notifications you've opted into.
4. Location data specifically
Pixlo requests your device's approximate location only at the moment you scan a QR code, solely to confirm you are near the relevant café. This is a one-time check, not continuous tracking. You may decline; some locations may require it to start a session, others may allow play without it at the Business's discretion.
5. How long we keep data
- Guest points balances become inactive and expire after 90 days of no activity at a given Business.
- We retain underlying account and history records as needed for fraud prevention, dispute resolution, and legal compliance, even after a points balance has expired.
- You may request deletion of your personal data at any time via the Grievance Officer contact above. On request we anonymize your identifying information (name, email) while retaining anonymized aggregate records for analytics integrity and fraud prevention.
6. Who we share data with
- The specific Business/café location(s) where you've played, limited to your activity at that Business only.
- Service providers who help us operate Pixlo: application hosting (Render, Vercel), managed database and cache (Neon, Upstash), transactional email (Brevo), and — for the Atlas word game only — a third-party AI language-model provider (OpenRouter) used to validate submitted place names.
- We do not sell personal data, and do not share Guest data across unrelated Businesses.
7. Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data by contacting the Grievance Officer above. We will respond within a reasonable timeframe as required under applicable Indian data protection regulations.
8. Security
We apply industry-standard security practices, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), signed authentication tokens, restricted internal access to personal data, and regular security review. No system can guarantee absolute security; we will notify affected users and relevant authorities in the event of a data breach as required by applicable law.
9. Children's data
Pixlo does not currently verify user age and is intended for users 18 and over. Age-appropriate safeguards for a public-café deployment remain under review with legal counsel.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time; material changes will be communicated through the app or website.
11. Contact
Questions about this policy or your data can be directed to the Grievance Officer contact listed in the Terms above.
